TASK 1: BAR CHART - INTEGRATION PROBLEMS FOR PEOPLE LIVING ABROAD

The bar chart shows information about the problems people have when they go to live in other countries.

The bar chart illustrates the problems that people at various ages have when they live in foreign countries.

As the chart shows, making friends is the biggest difficulty that people aged 18 – 34 face (approximately 46%), while that problem is more easily solved by the other age groups (about 36 percent for those aged 35 – 54 and 23 percent for ages over 55).
Forty percent of young people from 18 to 34 years of age have trouble in finding accommodation; similarly, that figure decreases by approximately 1 percentage point in the next age group (about 39 percent). However, only around 22 percent of older adults (aged over 55) find it hard to have a place to live.

On the contrary, the percentage of adults aged 55 and over who deal with language learning difficulty is nearly 54% which is the highest proportion in the chart; whereas in the age group of 18 – 34, it is approximately 29%.

In summary, learning the local language is the most significant problem that the oldest age group has. Otherwise, young adults find it difficult to make friends and find accommodations. (189 words)
