HOW TO MAKE A POP UP BIRTHDAY CARD AND DECORATE IT.

You will need:

- 2 colored sheets of paper (A4 size or smaller). I like yellow and orange. What do you like?
- Glue or glue gun.
- Pencils, a ruler, erasers, colored pens (red, black, blue, etc.)
- Scissors, a letter-clip, an x-acto knife, a hobby knife, or other paper cutting knives.
- Some colorful pieces of paper that you like.

Now let's do it. Yeah!!!

Step 1: Draw on the drafting paper like this pattern. (^3^)

>>> I suggest you to use this photo for printing.
*Printing is better than drawing.
Step 2: Then, you will use one or two letter-clips to hold both the orange sheet and drafting paper together. You definitely don't want them to move around while you're cutting.
* See the line between? Use the pencil to mark on the orange sheet for folding later.
Step3: Go ahead. Cut it. Wait! Take a look on some photos in step 4 before you do. :D
* Be careful with x-acto knife. Well, you should cut papers instead of your fingers.

Step 4:  Cut the paper like the attached photo. We all want to have a pop up card but not 13 seprated words H A P P Y B I R T H D A Y, right?
>>> You also need to cut all four black lines that I already marked on the photo.
* You should try to fold the drafting paper before turing to the real one.
Step 5: After cutting and folding, I glued the yellow sheet to the orange one like the photo.

Now it's time to decorate. Here are some ideas which can help you somehow on creating your own card. :">
